🌎 After Jesus died for us and then rose from the dead, He gathered His disciples and told them "Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you.": Matthew 28:18-20, Acts 1:8 .
-
Jesus did not intend for this mission to stop with His direct disciples. Instead, He wanted the disciples they made to then make disciples of others, and so on, all the way down to, and including, us. Paul makes this clear to Timothy in 2 Timothy 2:1-2 .

🌎 How can people know the saving grace of Jesus unless we tell them? (Romans 10:13-15)

🌎 Having been made a new creation in Christ, we are ambassadors for Christ to explain to others how they too can have new life: 2 Corinthians 5:17-21 .

🌎 Most people who become disciples of Jesus do so because they have a relationship with someone who already knows Jesus.
-
You don't have to share your entire testimony with someone all at once. Start by being open with them about your relationship with God: answers to prayer, how He has provided for you in struggles, peace and joy you have in Him, a Bible verse that has been meaningful to you recently.
-
At appropriate times, gently ask them questions: What do you believe? Why? How do you deal with difficult situations? Etc.
-
Before sharing the Gospel with people, it can be very effective to show them through your actions what God's love is like: Matthew 5:43-48 . Many people have never experienced undeserved love, and therefore have a hard time understanding God's love for them.
-
Always be ready to answer anyone who asks about the hope you have: 1 Peter 3:15-16 .
